Welcome to the Eye of Horus Website. 

We are a friendly group of mystically-inclined people, based in Manchester, England, who seek to explore the world of Self and Mind, using the time-honoured techniques of the Magical Qabalah (pronounced Ka-bal-ah).

To do this we have formed ourselves into a Teaching Group and allied ourselves with a long-established School of the Soul, SOL, whose lessons are at the core of our curriculum.You can visit the SOL (Servants of the Light) website by clicking in the margin to the left.

We live in a violent world but mankind’s inner nature is not violent. For millennia, great teachers have emerged among all religions and philosophies to proclaim that peace and real beauty lie within Mankind’s inner consciousness; and that the women and men who walk the Earth have the potential to fulfill a magnificent destiny.

The ways of approaching this destiny are ancient in origin, but have been made modern by generations of sincere people. The Eye Of Horus group uses a Qabalistic method of approaching life, the self and the inner hidden parts of ourselves which long for life but are constantly pushed into the background by the clamour of the modern world.

Perhaps you are one of the people to whom this message appeals. If so you may already have explored alternative religions or philosophies. Many of us had done this too, before we settled on the method and approach we now teach within the group. Our method is very practical but it demands work.  Having said that, we are an open and friendly group and we only ask sincerity in new members.

The Eye Of Horus Teaching Group is an affiliate of S.O.L. Servants of the Light and uses the SOL Teaching Materials which are Qabalistic in nature. This links the group into an ancient and well-respected tradition. Space is limited in our group therefore we have to select new members from those we think will add harmony and vitality. To help with this we operate an Outer Court/Inner Court principle, where potential members can come along and attend one of our friendly and informal talk nights without any commitment on their part.

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol with meanings on many levels. Its deepest meaning concerns the inner level of man’s consciousness, or Soul, and the intimate relationship of that consciousness to the world which is observed.  The inability of either science or psychology to separate the observer from their world is at the heart of a resurgence in mystical and magical thought.

The Eye of Horus Teaching Group delivers an eclectic mix of instruction and experiment to make modern the notion of Self-Magic.
