Path 29 The Moon
This path could be summarised by its Hebrew meaning: Qoph is the Back of the Head. This is our link to our biological origins, the reptilian brain. This Path is all about Bodies - vehicles of the higher elements of the Individuality and the Spirit.
One of only three Paths that connect with the Physical world in Malkuth, Path 29 is opposite to, and paired with, Path 31, Judgement.
We inherit much of our physical makeup from our genes, but this, the gift of over three billion years of evolution, is only a small fraction of what we really are. Nevertheless, the lessons of this path are vital, for we have to work through our physical selves to be effective in the World, and that is why we are here. Only Mankind can operate the spiritual bridge to this realm, and to do so he must be able to balance the organic forces alongside those of the psyche - both have an equal right to existence and full expression. Qabalah is not a path for prudes, and you will find on this path the strength of the sexual forces. To learn the real meaning of the polarity which manifests at this level as sex is to work with the powers of the Moon and Water as indicated by the attribution of Pisces, the Fishes.
The Tarot card hints at the forces of evolution and the Spiritual pull exerted on Life by the higher elements of the Tree.
