Eye of Horus Group to be Raised to a SOL Lodge

Eye of Horus - Cosmos talks continue Thursday, 27th March, 2008.
How do you envisage your relationship to the Cosmos in which we all live and move and have our being? Most of us drift through our lives completely indifferent to the fact that the Earth is a vast spaceship, a point of Cosmic focus for the life-giving forces in the Solar System and, beyond that, the Universe.
Life has a direct relationship to the planetary forces operating in our solar system. The forces acting on life are related in time and cycle to the Earth’s sister bodies, all (except the moon) orbiting around the common centre of our life, the Sun. Astrology attempts to define this relationship, but few astrologers discuss or illustrate the depth of inner anatomy of mankind revealed by the Qabalah.
And what about the forces and influences that come from beyond the Solar system? Can we possibly relate to their vaster cycles and distances?
In this series of talks, we will discuss a range of viewpoints and use traditional and modern authors to illustrate the different ways in which the Cosmos can be conceived and related to life on Earth. These will include our very own Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki, Dion Fortune, (whose cosmological model has greatly influenced the work of SOL), and Rodney Collin, disciple of Peter Ouspensky.
